By Road

(1) From the M60 (formerly known as the M63)
Leave the motorway at the Stockport Central exit (Junction 1) and take the A6 south (towards Buxton and Macclesfield).
At Hazel Grove take the A523 Macclesfield road.
Turn left at the roundabout to Bollington along B5090. Now go to (3) below.

(2) From the M6
If you are driving from the South, leave the motorway at Junction 17 and follow the signs to Congleton (A534) and then Macclesfield (A536).
If you are driving from the North, leave the motorway at Junction 19 and follow the signs to Knutsford and then to Macclesfield (A537).
At Macclesfield keep on the ring road until you meet signs for the A523. Turn left towards Stockport. Continue past one roundabout and then turn right at the next which is signposted to Bollington (B5090).

(3) When you reach Bollington
Bollington is a long village (nearly 2 miles). You pass under a (disused) railway bridge, then under a high stone canal bridge. At the top end of the village is a bus turn area. There is a small roundabout just before it. Bear right towards Rainow (Ingersley Road) keeping the 'New Con Club' and the 'Cotton Tree' pub on your right.
About 200 yards along this road you see the 'Poachers' pub on your right. Just beyond this is the start of the drive to Savio House. (Don't be deceived by Mill Lane which runs immediately beside the pub, or the Poachers car park which is just to the left of the entrance to the drive.)
The drive is about half a mile long with pasture to left and right.

By Train or Coach
Book to Macclesfield. There is a half hourly bus service to Bollington. Ask for the 'Turner's Arms' or 'New Con' Club. The walk from the bus stop is nearly a mile (see above), so phone the house in case of difficulty.
